Donald Beck served in the Marine Corps from 1976 – 1998. After completing Boot Camp in San Diego, orders to Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. MOS O351. Changed MOS to 3421 Disbursing, then 2.5 years as a Drill Instructor in San Diego, moved to Quantico, VA as a Drill Instructor for an additional 2 years. Transferred to Iwakuni, Japan then on to 29 Palms CA as Battalion Company Gunny.
After leaving the Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant, with 22 years, he had a 17-year career serving veterans with the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs. OEF/OIF Welcome Home Blue Ribbon events.
Volunteered at the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center in Little River, South Carolina.
